Who am I?? That’s a bit of a loaded question. Here’s what you need to know:
I am a wedding and event planner that has been in the industry for 20 years. Prior to the launch of WedUcation Workshops, I spent 2 decades earning my stripes and learning from incredible professionals in a variety of different event settings. To ensure my experience was well-rounded, I worked as a senior planner and general manager for a catering company, regional director of event sales for an entertainment event venue, the lead event planner for a farm style venue, and an event planner in a corporate setting.
While my experience is important, I feel it’s more important for you to know that I’m here for YOU. I’m here to guide, provide advice and answers, and offer planning solutions. I’m here to vent to if your mother or maid of honor are driving you up the wall. I’m here to help you figure out how to stretch a dollar as far as possible. And I’m here to minimize the stress and help make the planning process fun and exciting!
It’s also important for me to stress that I am not for everyone. You’ve seen the meme. The “I am not Willy Wonka… I will not sugarcoat sh*t” text next to Gene Wilder in his purple suit? If my professional experience tells me a decision may not be in your best interest, I’m going to speak up and I will explain to you why. Jlo in the Wedding Planner? Yeahhh… not me. You won’t find me wearing pearls, carrying my clipboard, and donning uncomfortable (but cute) shoes for a 12-hour wedding day. I have more than a dozen tattoos (which I keep mostly covered during weddings) and tend to drop an F-bomb here and there (NEVER at a wedding). I like to have a good time, but I know when it’s time to get things done. Professionalism is key for me, from both myself and the vendors I work with. I have strong opinions when it comes to certain wedding etiquette and manners that not everyone will agree with. And that’s OK! I also understand not everyone, including other planners, will have the same professional advice that I offer. All planners have had different experiences, which have helped to define why they conduct business the way we each do.
Helping YOU say ‘I-DO’,
