Workshop #12: Do you remember…? (Hint, you prob don’t)

Sep. 30, 2024

Hands down, this exercise is my favorite way to help brides and grooms lower those budgeting stress levels.

Tight budgets may require some cost cutting. The smaller details are just the place to make those cuts. Dinnerware, favors, and programs are the top 3 items that I find can add major costs, but really aren’t as big of a deal as you think.

So I ask you… do you remember the last 3 weddings you went to?

  • Tell me what their dinnerware looked like. More than likely, you don’t remember.
  • What did they give out as favors (and is it something you even took home)? I’m guessing that unless it was something handmade or edible, you don’t remember. More on this topic, later!
  • Did you read the program that was given out as you entered the ceremony? Or remember what it looked like? Look at it again after the ceremony? Probably not.

This exercise works for any of the smaller details you’re second guessing spending more money on than you’d like to.

Don’t sweat the small stuff. I promise it doesn’t matter as much as you think it may.
